Bento was founded in late 2017 by serial entrepreneur, Ram Sudireddy, who set out on a mission to give every American lifetime access to affordable oral healthcare through a modern, transparent experience. Numerous studies have shown that oral healthcare is directly correlated with overall health. Over 100 million Americans do not have access to affordable oral healthcare today. By building an end-to-end platform that integrates all parties, Bento is able to reduce inefficiencies and unnecessary costs, while increasing savings, and improving access.

Ram Sudireddy

CEO & Founder

A serial entrepreneur and regarded as one of Boston's best entrepreneurs and engineers with nearly 30 years of experience in technology development, senior management, marketing and sales in the US, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Israel and India. Ram founded Bento after experiencing his own pain points with the dental insurance system personally and while observing issues on how benefit plans were built and administered. Identifying the need for change, Ram founded Bento in an effort to create a better experience and provide affordable oral care for all Americans.

Prior to building Bento, Ram successfully built multiple startups. Ram was the Founder and CEO of Cimaron (acquired by AMCC), Founder, CEO and Chairman of CHiL Semiconductor (Acquired by IR, IR then acquired by Infineon) and Chairman of the Board at Sanovi (Acquired by IBM). Ram has also served senior positions as Sr. VP, GM & CTO at AMCC, Sr. VP at IR, and Architect at AT&T Bell Labs.

Prem Yerabothu

Chief Technology Officer

Prem has over 20 years of experience building world class engineering teams and products. Before joining the Bento team, Prem, served as an Executive Director at IBM, a founding member and Director of Development at Netezza and the Director of Development at Applix Inc.

Prem's passion for building and delivering world-class technology products to market has enabled him to lead teams and projects in multiple successful startups driving financial and IPO successes.

Dave McManus

CFO & Chief Operating Officer

Dave is the CFO & COO at Bento, where he is responsible for all strategic and operational facets of Finance, HR, and Legal Affairs.

Dave brings a strong background and deep expertise in building and scaling companies from early-stage development, through initial commercial & product launches, capital fundraising, and has delivered multiple successful exits. He is driven by a passion to create maximum value for all stakeholders, and believes that Bento is uniquely positioned to transform an antiquated piece of the healthcare puzzle.

Tony Abel

Senior VP of Group Dental

Tony is a seasoned veteran in the dental benefits industry, boasting over two decades of expertise in both the commercial and Medicaid benefits sectors. With a wealth of experience navigating the intricacies of dental insurance, Tony has established himself as a trusted leader and innovator in the field. Beyond his extensive tenure in established companies, he has also contributed his skills and insights to a tech startup, showcasing his adaptability and forward-thinking approach to addressing industry challenges. With a proven track record of success and a passion for driving positive change in dental benefits, Tony continues to make significant strides in shaping the future of the industry. When Tony is not building better dental at Bento he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three boys!

Dan has over 11 years of experience creating customer success teams and implementing software for enterprise, medical, and higher education organizations. Before joining the Bento team, Dan was a Sr. Director at Modo Labs, Inc.

Ryan Chan

VP of Sales

Ryan joined the Bento team with nearly a decade of experience and demonstrated success in leading growth in organizations. As a Senior Sales Leader in the dental industry with a passionate focus on technology, Ryan has been consulting DSOs, Emerging Groups, and DPOs to evaluate, select, and implement world-class technology. An industry expert on helping DSOs utilize technology to achieve centralization, standardization, and creating economies of scale. Ryan possesses the ability to navigate companies from their early stages to becoming an industry leader having previously served in senior sales roles with Apteryx Imaging, PlanetDDS, and VELscope. When Ryan isn’t consulting on membership plans or how to streamline dental benefits with DSOs, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids.
